The definitions of space within society are aggressively demarcated. They are owned through a shared language of architecture and economics. They are places that speak to us. They warn us sometimes without written signs but through invisible signs. Our society is obsessed with money, deadlines, corporatism leaving graffiti as a set of economic numbers that are seen as a burden. The problem here isn't the graffiti artist it is a society that is not inclusive that is the main problem. Architecture and its language is my main interest. Graffiti literally defaces the dominant architectural language of space. What was built decades ago for whatever reason is not necessarily relevant today so its better off defaced and rewritten. Ie Malabar headland army ruins are a good example....
